Built in 1989 to meet needs of growing population; further buildings added in 1992 and 1993; nursery in 1999; occupies small landscaped site with high banks. Sports offered include hockey, football, netball, athletics, tennis, cricket, badminton, tag rugby. School choirs; musical is produced every two years. Clubs include cookery, computer, needlecraft, art and craft, drama, French and music. Pupils raise substantial amounts for charity. Educational visits to Mourne Mountains for pupils in Primary 6; annual trip to Edinburgh for pupils in Primary 7.
