Opened in 1989, in chalet bungalow-style building on pleasant site in seaside village; comprises four bright and well-proportioned class bases, served by two multi-purpose resource areas and a hall; also three mobile classrooms; the school is growing in size because of building nearby. New school to be built on field to rear of existing school to accommodate increased enrolment of 200; completion expected in June 2008. Well-resourced, with modern equipment to provide stimulating learning environment. Educational visits; visits from outside agencies; extra-curricular activities such as cycling proficiency, music club with choir and recorder, badminton, French, art/craft, football, Irish dancing and cookery. Ethos: 'The school considers it of vital importance to build up the children's self-esteem as well as to encourage them to cooperate in a caring, secure and happy atmosphere, yet within a disciplined framework.' .
